The waters of gold, danube so blue

The silver strands, danube so blue

Passing through Vienna, danube so blue

The orchestral bands, danube so blue

So live in Vienna, danube so blue

Free and true in song

Passing through the black forest, into the sea

Wolcoming your brothers, and your sisters

eastwards you flow, welcoming your brothers

A picture of peace and beautiful light

The mermaids from your riverbed

Singing as you flow by

are heard by everything

under the blue sky above

The waltzes in your silver waters

The people beside freely mutters

The silver waters of truth

The beautiful voice of truth

Let me sing happily

Let me sing merrily

Let me swim happily

Let me swim merrily

The boat is sailing on this fairly white

Still is the night, the waters are white

Bright and blue the dresses are

Red and light the dancers are

The red blood

The fresh blood

Oh we waltz along, oh we dance along

The Vienna blood

the red blood

Oh we are so happy

The loving tales of couple are true

Gives the Danube name of blue

It is yellow and bright as gold

The people of Vienna are nice and bold

And in conclusion

The height of silver strands

And in the conclusion

The beautiful Danube strands

That bring hieght to Vienna City

The joyand happiness

The lovely Vienna City

On the beautiful blue Danube
